In a recent acquisition, Aldrich, a Salem, Oregon-based provider of financial, wealth, tax, and business transaction advisory services, has acquired HMA CPA, a Spokane, Washington-based accounting firm. This move allows Aldrich to extend its reach into the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, areas, strengthening its presence in the Western U.S. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition brings all four HMA partners and 25 employees under the Aldrich umbrella, boosting the firm’s capabilities in tax and advisory services. Aldrich, ranked No. 72 on Accounting Today’s 2024 Top 100 Firms list, is a Top 75 Firm with $86 million in revenue and a 500-member team across the U.S. and India. HMA’s partners, including CEO Kevin Sell, expressed optimism about joining Aldrich, highlighting shared values and expanded service offerings for clients in the Spokane area.
Aldrich’s CEO and partner, John Lauseng, noted that the acquisition aligns with Aldrich’s commitment to serving clients and communities, building on HMA’s 40-year legacy in the region. Following the acquisition, Aldrich now operates from eight offices across Oregon, California, Colorado, Utah, and Washington, marking a continued trend of strategic growth among accounting and advisory firms in the region.
